Tripods

In my opinion, the most important piece of equipment I own is my tripod. If you can only do one thing to improve your photography it would be to buy a good tripod. I have two, the Bogen that I started out with, a nice light aluminum tripod with a geared head, crucial for getting the perfect composition. The Gitzo is a gorgeous piece of equipment, very light as well, 3 section legs to pack easily and strong carbon fiber with a very beefy RRS BH-55 ball head.
